About the Creator

My name is Simon, and I created SB Neuro Focus as a UK-focused site reviewing digital productivity and workspace technology through a neurodivergent usability lens.

Why I Created SB Neuro Focus

I created SB Neuro Focus to simplify the process of choosing digital productivity tools and workspace technology as a neurodivergent adult in the UK.
Many technology reviews focus heavily on specifications, performance benchmarks, or marketing claims. What they often overlook is usability in real life —
especially when attention, sensory load, working memory, and executive function vary from day to day.

As a neurodivergent adult, I know how easily digital tools can either reduce friction or quietly add to it. Some tools genuinely make things easier.
Others add extra steps, extra notifications, or unnecessary complexity.

SB Neuro Focus exists to explore that difference.

The aim is not perfection. It’s clarity.

What This Site Focuses On

On SB Neuro Focus I publish structured guides and comparisons designed to help adults in the UK choose ADHD-friendly productivity tools and focus-supporting technology.
Topics include:

  • Digital productivity apps and planning tools
  • Smart devices and wearables for reminders and routines
  • Focus-supporting technology such as noise-reduction tools
  • Workspace and desk technology designed to reduce cognitive load

When I write guides, I try to look at things through a practical lens: how easy something is to set up, how intuitive it feels to use consistently,
and whether it supports focus without increasing overwhelm.

How I Evaluate Tools

When reviewing tools or systems, I look at a number of usability factors, including:

  • Setup complexity and learning curve
  • Cognitive load and number of steps required
  • Notification and interruption impact (where relevant)
  • Accessibility and comfort considerations
  • Fit within realistic daily routines
  • Common usability frustrations reported by users

The goal is not to declare a single “perfect” solution. Instead, I try to present options in a structured and balanced way so readers can decide what might work best for them.

Transparency

Some pages on SB Neuro Focus contain affiliate links. If you purchase through these links, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate income helps support the time spent researching and maintaining this site. However, it does not determine which products are included or how they
are evaluated. Where limitations or trade-offs exist, I aim to state them clearly.

Important Note

SB Neuro Focus provides information for general guidance only. It does not provide medical advice. If you have questions about medication, treatment, or
health decisions, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

A Final Thought

Technology should reduce mental friction — not add to it.

I understand how exhausting it can be to trial endless systems that promise productivity but don’t account for the realities of executive function.
SB Neuro Focus is my attempt to bring a bit more structure and clarity to that process.
